11 Jun 2007 - Smaller Class Sizes in St Modan's
The Scottish Executive recently released additional funding to Local Authorities to facilitate a reduction in class size in English & Maths in S1 and S2. St Modan's High School is going one step further to reduce ALL class sizes in S2 (not just English & Maths) as well as English & Maths in S1. This is a major advance in the quest for improving learning and teaching lower school and St Modan's is confident that this brave step will have a very positive impact on our young people in S1 and S2.
S2 sections will be adjusted to allow for smaller class sizes. Pupil will remain in the same PSD class and have the same PSD teacher but will be allocated new sections. These sections will be made up in consultation with the the Pupil Support & Development Team to ensure all pupils are placed appropriately.
