30 Nov 2007 - Final Mass at St Mary's

St Modan's played a significant role in the event to mark the closure of the old building of St Mary's primary School, Stirling on Wednesday, 28 November.

Former pupils of St Mary's - Daniel Rice and Hailey Forrest (Depute Head Girl) gave readings at Mass.  Sean Griffin (Head Boy) sang the Magnificat as the Responsorial Psalm and the School's Chamber Choir sang Rutter's "The Lord Bless You and Keep You" as the Communion Antiphon

At the concert, following the Mass, Tracie Aldridge (1B) - a former pupil of St Mary's performed two Highland dances with P7 pupil, Lucy Rice.  The Chamber Choir sang "Westering Ho" and "O, My Luve's Like a Red, Red Rose" under the direction of Music Teachers, Mrs Gunning, Miss Hunter and Miss Collin.

St Mary's will open as Our Lady's Primary School Stirling when it moves to its new school in the New Year.

Everyone at St Modan's wishes the Community of Our Lady's primary School every success!
