WHOLE SCHOOL TARGETS & UPDATE FOR SESSION 2006/07
The new targets are based on the Scottish Credit & Qualification Framework (SCQF). The change has been made to take account of the mix of STANDARD GRADE and ACCESS / INTERMEDIATE / HIGHER / ADVANCED HIGHER courses that our SQA candidates may be studying. What is the SCQF?
It details the full range of Scottish qualifications (i.e. in schools, colleges and workplaces) how they relate to each other as equivalences and also demonstrates progression routes for all candidates to fulfill their potential
The SCQF has 12 levels Including
SCQF Level SQA Equivalences (National) 5-14 Equivalences (School only) Progression Route(s) 7 Advanced Higher From Advanced Higher: Progression to HNC or 6 Higher From Higher Grade: Progression to Advanced Higher 5 Standard Grade Credit or Intermediate 2 From Standard Grade Credit or Intermediate 2: Progression to Higher Grade 4 Standard Grade General or Intermediate 1 Level F, Level E. From Standard Grade General/ Intermediate 1 or 5-14 Levels F or E: Progression to Standard Grade Credit or Intermediate 2 3 Standard Grade Foundation Level or Access 3 Level D, Level C. From Access 3/Standard Grade Foundation/5-14 Level D or C: Progression to Standard Grade General or Intermediate 1 2 Access 2 Level B From Access 2 or 5-14 Level B: Progression to Standard Grade Foundation or Access 3 1 Access 1 Level A From Access 1 or 5-14 Level A: Progression to Access 2
